Thomas Bateman Collection

The Thomas Bateman Collection includes digital scans of photos an images acquired by Derbyshire Libraries. Bateman was an antiquarian born in Rowsley, Derbyshire in 1821. The images in the collection were organised by inserting them into a four-volume copy of Lyson’s Magna Britannica Derbyshire to create a unique illustrated record of the county.
