Description: Mr Straw's House is a three-storey house which belonged to the Straw family during the 1920s and 30s. After their parents died, the remaining brothers, William and Walter, remained in the house without changing any of the interior features.
The house remained unaltered until the National Trust acquired the house in the 1990s and opened it to the public as a museum of 1920s life. There are excellent examples of period wallpaper and stock from the parents' shop. (Taken from Wikipedia).
