Description:
This picture shows part of Clifton Village just prior to 1937. It was exhibited in the N.S.A. exhibition in 1937 and sold for five guineas (£260 in 2011 values).
Stacey Blake (1873-1964) lived at the Old Manor House at Woodborough, Notts. He was a professional artist and he was the vice-president of the N.S.A. He was also the author of a number of the Sexton Blake novels. He travelled extensively around Europe.
