Description:
Looking north-west.
This was earlier a guest house called Limetree View - the Pre-Raphaelite artist Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Elizabeth Siddall (later his wife) stayed there in 1857.
It was opened as the Derby and Derbyshire Convalescent Home in 1889 and was later run by NALGO (the National Association of Local Government Officers) for its members. Subsequently it became a residential home for the elderly before being converted into private dwellings.
The above information is largely derived from The Andrews Pages.
