Description: The Rectory was built in 1720. It has a late Georgian stone front, 5 centre bays and 2 broad pedimented angle bays with Venetian windows and tripartite semicircular windows above. The present appearance of the house is due to the Rev Christopher Alderson, who also improved the grounds. The Gentleman's Magazine of 1795 says that he was so renowned as a garden improver that he was employed at Windsor as well.
