Description: Ruins of Seldom Seen Engine House, Moss Valley. Formerly a beam engine used to pump water from nearby mining works. Renovated in the late 1980s. The name 'Seldom Seen' was given to this location because it was reputedly haunted, but the ghost was seldom seen. Taken for the Three Valley's Project. This project has provided a link between three existing sections of the Trans-Pennine Trail, which runs from Southport to Hornsea. Their work was carried out on the Chesterfield Canal Greenway, the Beighton-Staveley Trail and the Arkwright Line.
