Description:
Where the people are standing is a shop, set back from the pavement, which I believe at one time around the early 1900's was the Post Office. The building just past the people, just behind the tree, is now Maycock's butcher's shop. It used to be Tom Walker's butchers, and he had the farm at Wakebridge. Upper Holloway, I suppose, is further up the hill, there is a road near to where the photographer is standing, which leads up a steep hill, eventually you come to a farm (maybe 2) there is a road to the right called Long Lane which comes just below Lea Green, going past Lea Gardens, the road continues and eventually comes out at the top of Lea.
