Description: One of a number of 'bungalows' built c.1900-1910? along the East bank of the River Soar, near Redhill (in background). They were built on piers, to reduce the risk of flood damage. Most, if not all, survived until the end of the 20th century, some in increasingly decrepit condition. After 2000, several, including apparently that illustrated here, were demolished to make way for brick-built cottages. W.H.SMITH? postcard S8282, c.1910-1920?
