Description: This used to exist between on a road between Great Wilne and Wilne Mills along Wilne Lane. The road comes now comes to an end, although it used to continue straight ahead to this crossing of the River Derwent at Wilne Mills. There is now just a footpath which leads to a new footbridge to the east (downstream) of this old one. The river crossing at this point is a very ancient one and Iron Age, Bronze Age and Roman remains have been found in the area.
