Description: Originally labelled as Bolsover Castle, this image was actually taken in Bolsover Parish Church.
Website contributor Wendy Stevenson very kindly relates the following: "It is a nativity carving dated around 1300. It is situated close to the font in the North-East corner of the church. It was found in 1705 buried face-down near the Priest's doorway. It is believed to have been buried around 1644 at the time of religious upheaval."
