Description: The water from Russett Well travels underground from caverns on the west side of Winnats Pas, through Peak Cavern and eventually comes out as a small stream flowing into Peakshole Water - it took the local geologists a long time to trace the source of the water. The sign reads that Russett Well is 10 feet deep and 7 feet wide and is calculated to throw up 2,000 gallons of water per minute. The inhabitants of Castleton have been supplied from this well for hundreds of years.
