Description: Locals claim that the Cat and Fiddle is the second highest pub in England, situated at 1690ft above sea level (The Highest being the Tan Hill Inn, close to the northern boundary of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, at 1,732 feet). The pub is situated on Axe Edge on the Cheshire-Derbyshire border and was built c 1800.
