Description:
From David Birt's book 'Steaming Through the 1980s; Steam Resurrected in and around Derby':
Jubilee locomotive 5593 Kolhapur has just arrived from The Birmingham Railway Museum and is seen at rest in 'The Dock' at Derby Midland. The locomotive's fireman is seen playing careful attention to the valve gear before embarking on the next leg to Sheffield as part of the 280 mile journey to Steamtown Railway Centre at Carnforth in Lancashire. However sadly the locomotive suffered power loss due to boiler problems and had to end its journey at keighly in Yorkshire.
