Description: A view looking east along Main Street, which at this date was still known as Highwayside according to old maps.
Website contributor John A Thickitt comments: 'During the 1920s (possibly World War One also) my mother's parents (Mr and Mrs Musson) farmed at Lime Kilns Farm - the nearest house on the left was the farmhouse and up to at least the 1930s the farmyard was on the opposite side of the road which, to some extent, separated domestic life from the agricultural activities! On the left immediately beyond this house was the entrance to The Brickyard'.
