Description: The branch railway from the main Erewash Valley Line to Hobsic opencast mine workings and Moor Green Colliery crossed the Cromford Canal below Lock 13 adjacent to an earlier arched bridge. It was a trellis and girder bridge carrying a single track. A train-load of coal slack was being taken from Moor Green to the sidings (away to the left of the photo) by an NCB diesel engine
