Description: This view shows Marina Griffin (left) and Freda Griffin (nee Bulmer) outside Sandibank Cottages. The cottages were originally a block of four housing mill workers families, three of which were occupied at one time by the Booth family (William Booth the cobbler was the grandfather of Freda Griffin). The cottages had no running water - water had to be carried (by the children) from a spring further up the lane.
