Description:
Near the entrance to Norwood Tunnel. This was the second longest tunnel in the country at the time of construction in the 1770's. It collapsed in 1907. The Chesterfield Canal was used for leisure activity only after the collapse of the Norwood Tunnel, which ended it's commercial use. The house shown here has since been demolished.
