Description: A funeral garland for an un-named member of the Coke Family, who died in c 1840. These garlands were made in memory of girls who died unmarried, and were often known as Maiden's Garlands or Virgin Crants or Crantsies. The garland is made of white paper fastened onto a frame. The Coke Family had been living in Trusley since before 1639 when Sir Francis Coke of Trusley died. Both the Manor House and Trusley Old Hall were built by the Coke Family, members of whom still live at the Old Hall.
