Description: The group of buildings in the foreground are H Briddon's 'Posting Establishment' which provided carriage transport (See DCHQ000054) for visitors to Matlock Bath, offering trips into the Derbyshire countryside. The buildings were demolished (though the fishpond at this location remained and it was replaced by the Pavilion (built 1911) and Pleasure Gardens. Looking SE from the main (A6) road, the River Derwent runs behind the building.
