The Town Clerk in gown and wig (left of photo ) is Mr Glynne D Jones. He was Town Clerk from 1961 to local Government reorganisation. You can see Mr Jones in several photos in these 1960s photographs. He went on to be the first Chief Executive of High Peak Borough Council and was honoured for his services to local government in the area by being granted the Freedom Of The High Peak.
