Description: It later became The High Peak borough Council. the mayor in this picture was Mayor Ald. E Barson.
The Town Clerk (in gown and wig ) in Mr Glynne D Jones. He went on to be the first Chief Executive of High Peak Borough Council and was the first person honoured with the Freedom of the High Peak. (Information supplied by Mark Jones).
