Description: The west wing of the school, viewed from the south west (far side of Cavendish Road, foreground). Opened effectively in September 1929 (and officially on Tuesday 8 October). The architect was H Tatham Sudbury of Ilkeston; builders were D Roberts and Son, Nottingham Road, Ilkeston. During the Second World War a rest centre was opened on the premises. In the late 1970s it was merged with Hallcroft School to become Cantelupe School. From the mid-1990s it became part of the South East Derbyshire College.
