As Dr Anthony Frank (Tony) Marchington (1955-2011) he subsequently pursued a career as a biotechnology entrepreneur and businessman, becoming co-founder of Oxford Molecular plc, which was worth £450 million at its peak. From 1996 until 2004 he was also the owner of the famous London and North Eastern Railway A3 Class 4-6-2 steam locomotive Flying Scotsman.
