Description: Looking north-east along Coronation Road from the bridge over the Erewash Valley railway line with the site of Cossall Colliery (closed 1965) to the right. Cossall Marsh is visible beyond the concrete bridges in the distance, the nearest built to take a mineral line associated with the colliery over the road and the other a pipe bridge accommodating the waters of the disused Nottingham Canal. On the skyline the water tower at Swingate near Kimberley can be seen (right), along with the radio mast at Babbington (left). In the foreground the concrete lamp column is an example of those made locally by the Stanton Ironworks Company.
