Description: Abbey Street was a dead-end road largely comprising terraced houses on the north side of Ilkeston, running westwards off Lower Bloomsgrove Road. This views shows the frontage of Nos 1-4, which were at the western extremity of the street where it met a footway called Rutland Terrace. The left-hand dwelling appears at one time to have been a shop. These houses have since been demolished leaving the street today devoid of habitation. View looking north.
