Description: Belper Parks is a wooded open space, now a nature reserve. It is the last remaining section of the large medieval Royal deer park and manor of Duffield Frith and one of six parks in the Royal Forest - densely wooded areas enclosed with a fence, where deer could give birth to their young in safety.
The deer had gone by Tudor times and the area was farmed until it became a park in the Twentieth Century.
This winter view is neae the Caw Hill / Canada Street and Holbrook Road end.
