Description: The Christadelphian (Mission) Hall is off the left hand edge of the photo and stood about 9 feet back from the pavement behind a four foot high brick wall. The building shown on the left is the Croft Infant School which was built in 1901-2. The house front on the right hand edge of the photo and fronting to Marshall Street was called 'Orderly House'. It was built as a police house adjoining Alfreton Police Station. This complex along with the Courthouse was built in 1934. The Courthouse was refurbished in 1988 at a cost of 160,000 pounds sterling.
