Description: Near the bottom of the road the white building on the right was the Collier's Dairy and on the same side was Melia's Grocers and the Public Benefit Shoe Shop managed by a Miss Key who lived on Butterley Hill. On the opposite side is Ollerenshaw's Bakers & Confectioners, later Deans. Woolworths closed in January 1990 and is now Amber Value with Romac Motor Spares next door, to the left. The building at the bottom the street is now HSBC Bank.
