Description: The dwelling has a third floor, with a long range of windows for maximum light, possibly for the purposes of some cottage industry such as framework knitting. In the early days of the industry such work was often outsourced. These 'loft' windows are reminiscent of those seen in the Bramcote and Calverton areas of Nottingham. It is possible that the lower windows, lighting the living quarters, are later replacements. Note the blinds and the heavy Nottingham lace curtains.
