Description: On left is the turn into Furnace Lane. The cottage seen in the mid ground on the left is now demolished. On the right is where the Baptist Chapel now stands. The chimney of Loscoe Colliery can just be seen in the distance. The tram tracks are only lightly tarmaced over for modern resurfacing and are often revealed when carrying out road repairs. This tramway ran from Nottingham to Ripley, the 'longest tram tracks in the U.K.' when built. The trams running on it were known as the 'Ripley Rattlers'.
