Description: The Golden Ball public house may date from the 1600's. It was originally thatched. It is one of five pubs in Loscoe which were the subject of a local rhyme.'The Coach and Horses ran through the White Gates to the Eclipse Inn and the Golden Ball was presented to Sir John Warren.' After 1907 the pub became a private residence. The Building was demolished in 1948. The Baptist School Room is seen at the rear of the pub. Bellfield Court is now in this vicinity.
