Description: Erected in 1860 at a cost of £1,700 to accommodate 500 people. Head of wide ranging methodist circuit, including Alfreton Swanwick & Hucknall. After closure it was purchased by Ripley Co-Op and old Sunday school used aspublic library. The heating system was sent to the science museum, London. It was one of the earliest examples of a 'small-Bore' system dating from about 1860
