Description:
This is just past the bridge over the Ecclesbourne river at the east end of Tamworth Street. 'Ecclesbourne' means 'the burn/stream by the church'. Travels from Wirksworth until it joins the Derwent in Duffield. Used to give power to numerous mills along its banks. Brook Walk joins Duck Island via the bridge over to Mill House (which is situated on Duck Island). This is the point where the Ecclesbourne splits into two and Duck Island is the piece of ground in-between the two parts of the river.
