Description: The river Derwent in the can be seen in the foreground. The pub is on the corner of Eaton Bank and Makeney Road. The latter goes towards Duffield and Makeney, the former towards Little Eaton. This was built in the 1930's, originally called the 'Bull's Head Inn'. We know this from an advert in the Mercury, advertising for a new landlord in 1827. The Bridge Inn is right by the Duffield Bridge over the river Derwent, although this is not pictured.
