Description: Showing Streets, houses church and the Market Hall. The Market Hall was built in the 15th or 16th century in the Market Place. The lower arches of stone are thought to be about 500 years old, whilst the upper portion of brick and stone was rebuilt in 1905 using old material. It was possibly at this time that the arches, once open, were filled in. It was the first property in Derbyshire to be acquired by the National Trust (in 1906) and now acts as a Tourist Information Centre.
