Description: This is a view from Raphael Tuck & Sons' 'Glosso' postcard series, no. 5516. On the reverse of the postcard is the following printed information: 'The High Tor is a really fine acclivity that rises 380 feet above the tumbling waters of the Derwent, and looks down on the lesser tree-covered height of Masson. It is a mass of limestone, the face of it bare and sheer, but it's shoulders are covered with yew, holly and fir, and a tangled carpet of bracken. There is a grotto in the High Tor where dog-tooth crystals are found in abundance.'
