Description: Looking east towards Awsworth over the hump-backed bridge on the Erewash Canal. The pub was erected c 1915 on the site of an older pub of the same name (Emanuel Barker was publican of the older pub at the time of the 1901 census, and his son Reginald the barman). The architect was H Tatham Sudbury of Ilkeston; at that time owned by Stretton's Brewery. In 1980 it was owned by Ansells.
