About this image
From David Birt's book 'Steaming Through the 1980s; Steam Resurrected in and around Derby':
Steam locomotive 34092 City of Wells heads a John Player Golden Arrow special out of Derby en route for Sheffield. The train inaugarated at London Marylebone stopping at Derby. The locomotive then was then coaled and watered in 'The Dock'at Derby and is seen here not long after leaving Derby Midland north of the station as it passes near to the Derby Telegraph offices on its next leg to Sheffield before returning to London.
