Railway aqueduct 7 south of Leawood on the Cromford Canal, constructed in 1849, when the the railway was built from Ambergate to Rowsley. Engine 44284 class 4F was on its way back to Derby after shunting operations at Rowsley.
The figure '55' on the post indicates there is a speed restriction of 55 miles per hour for some distance beyond this point. That the sign is metal shows the restriction is a permanent one.
