Locals claim that the Cat and Fiddle is the second highest pub in England, situated at 1690 ft above sea level ( The Highest being the Tan Hill Inn at 1,732 feet). The pub is situated on Axe Edge on the Cheshire-Derbyshire border and was built c 1800.
