About this image
This is a photo of Percy Waterhouse at the start of the First World War. He trained in Ireland before serving in France as a driver. His knowledge of horses helped, as they were used to pull the the gun carriages.
This postcard was found in a house clearance of the Buxton family of Whaley Bridge. Excelsior Studio was in Looberg Street, Cork.
