About this image
This stone font was installed in 1904 and is surmounted by an angel. It was presented by A E M Mundy, in memory of Maj.-Gen. The Hon. Charles John Addington, who died that year. Much later, the surrounding walls were panelled in oak, with brass plates engraved with the names of those parishioners who fell in the First World War (1914-1918). This was executed by Advent Hunstone of Tideswell. See also image DCER000226.
