About this image
The house was built for John W Spridgeon, a Long Eaton lace machine manufacturer and was said to have cost £10,000. The architect was Ernest Hooley of Long Eaton. When built in 1908, the land was in Sandiacre but became part of Long Eaton in 1921. The extensive gardens have now been developed with housing and the house is now a social club.
