The Church, which stands in King Street, is by F S Antliffe and Sons of Draycott (1929) and is in a fanciful Gothic style. By 1939, he had not only built the church and manse, but also a school, houses, a library, a garden of rest and a children's pleasure park. Since 1970 the church has suffered many changes due to road improvements, but it is still there.
