Erewash Valley coal masters presented a bill for a second time in 1845 for proposed line from Trent along the Erewash Valley to Pye Bridgewere one track would go to Pin View and one to Claycross. Claycross failed due to lack of money. The train at the platform was a Diesel Multiple Unit. These were introduced into service from the mid-1950's. In the foreground, the waggons were of the type used to carry coal.
