About this image
The photographer's original caption for this view is titled 'A Sheffield Family Go On A Hiking Holiday' with the description: 'Mr & Mrs Shutt of 52 Firth Park Crescent, Sheffield - both experienced Hikers, solved the difficulty of Baby (Jane) by making a seat on Hikers Pack, so now family go a hiking holiday together. Snap today, on Fox House Moorlands, Derbyshire.'
The location appears to be on Hathersage Road, just east of The Fox House Inn and looking north-east towards Sheffield.
The photographer's own stamp on the rear of the print reveals him to have been Secretary of the Institute of British Photographers.

Does anyone recall the Shutt family and their hiking exploits? And if so, can this view be dated more precisely?
