Bingham Railway Crossing, c 1960
About this image
Bingham Railway crossing house on north-west side of Kirkhill or Chapel Lane level crossing. It was demolished c 1964. During the 40s and 50s it was occupied by Mrs Mills who sold items such as baked beans, pegs, etc. People came to her door day and night - very useful when shops were shut.
Many thanks to Robin Aldworth and Bingham Heritage Trails Association for supplying the image.
