About this image
No details are recorded for this scene showing huntsmen and hounds ascending a 'green lane' somewhere in the Peak District.
While the location is unknown, the nature of the upland limestone scenery makes it probable that this is the High Peak Hunt whose territory lies between Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne.
The distinctive pattern of field boundaries created by the drystone walls, together with the copse in the background should make this location identifiable. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
