About this image
A typed note attached to the original of this photo reads 'A Record Yorkshire Harvest. Photo taken today showing part of over 50 miles of Wheat Harvest, seen by road users passing inland from Bridlington this week-end. Farmers report a record crop.'
The stooks of wheat (with still more visible distantly in the field beyond) seems to bear out the claim of a record-breaking harvest but it is not known what year this took place.
The above description suggests that the location is probably somewhere close to the A614 road between Bridlington and Driffield, given that the photographer was based in Sheffield and was perhaps using that route to return home after a summer holiday at Bridlington.
