About this image
Chesterfield Grammar School had previously occupied a site on Sheffield Road, Chesterfield. Following its relocation in 1967 to these modern premises in Chatsworth Road on the western fringe of the town, after a few years the advent of comprehensive education (from 1974) resulted in it being renamed Chesterfield School. It finally closed in 1991 and subsequently, the site was re-used as Brookfield Community School.
